Bioschemas Types Propose a new type

Schema.org provides a vocabulary of terms that can be used to describe data on the Internet. The Bioschemas community are extending that vocabulary to be able to describe life sciences resources. Here we host the types and properties that are being proposed to the Schema.org vocabulary.

Comments and discussions on the mailing list or GitHub issue tracker are encouraged.

Technical corner
Bioschemas latest released types are provided in machine-actionable formats in JSON-LD and Turtle. The canonical URL for Bioschemas types is 'https://bioschemas.org/terms/' and we use the namespace 'bioschemas'.

The latest drafts (still under discussion by the community, commonly used as release candidates) are also provided in JSON-LD and Turtle. For draft types, we use the canonical URL 'https://bioschemas.org/draft_terms/' and the namespace 'bioschemas_draft'.

To make it easier for machines, we use FAIR Signposting to point to the released types JSON-LD file from the HTML landing pages. We do not support Signposting for draft types. In both cases, released types and draft types, content negotiation is supported through https://w3id.org.
